All-On-4 – Marietta, OH
Achieve a New Smile in Just One Day!
Did you know that it’s estimated that about 40 million Americans are missing all the teeth in their smile? That’s tens of millions of people who cannot eat the foods they want and struggle to keep their denture in place, assuming they have one at all. With dental implants, not only can our office replace your missing teeth, but we perform a treatment that lets you restore your smile the same day the implants are placed! To learn more about this revolutionary procedure and how Dr. Jeff Lee makes it happen, keep reading or give our office a call to schedule a consultation.
How Do All-On-4 Implants Work?
After dental implants have integrated with your existing bone tissue, they typically are restored with an implant-retained crown, bridge or denture. However, dental implants require a long healing period before they can be restored as they are not properly integrated with your jawbone the moment they are placed. That means you would have to go without teeth for an extended period of time as they heal.
With All-on-4 treatment, you don’t have to wait. By placing just four dental implants strategically throughout the mouth, we can maximize the amount of bone tissue that integrates with your implants. Afterwards, we can place a temporary denture, so you don’t have to go without your smile as the implants heal.
Am I A Candidate For All-On-4 Implants?
Most patients are eligible for All-on-4 treatment, however, we’ll need to perform a detailed exam of your mouth and oral structures before we follow through with treatment. We’ll make sure to take a close look at your current oral health as well as your dental history. You need to have generally good health and solid bone density. Even though All-on-4 does everything possible to make use of the bone tissue that you have, we can always perform bone grafts to regrow tissue where it’s needed.
What Are the Benefits of All-On-4 Implants?
When you choose All-on-4 dental implants to replace teeth, you’re not just getting a brand-new smile in a single appointment. You are also gaining the many restorative benefits that come from implant placement. You can eat the foods you enjoy without concern and smile with confidence thanks to the natural-looking materials we use to create your denture. And, because you’re getting the implants restored the same day, you only have to go through a single surgery. In most cases, a bone graft is not necessary because of the way in which we maximize the bone tissue that’s present in your jaw.
All-On-4 VS Traditional Dental Implants
Keep in mind that while the restorative benefits are present regardless of the type of dental implant treatment you pursue, there are some differences to keep in mind. Traditional dental implants take much longer to restore because they require time to heal. And, if you choose a traditional implant-retained denture over the All-on-4 treatment, you’ll likely need to have six implants placed to properly hold it. When you have several teeth to replace at a time, especially a full arch, the All-on-4 method is by far the fastest and most comprehensive solution to your tooth loss.
